The Geezer Gazetteer

Dedicated to the ramblings of old minds trapped in older bodies
Our Purpose
Not much of anything but to enjoy saying what we want when we want and rant about the younger generation. most sentences need to start out with, "That’s not the way...", " I remember when..." or "Holy cow, did you see that.... We will rate movies, eating establishments, TV shows and/or anything we want to write about. Pictures can also be uploaded for all our enjoyment. Please no porn. All photos submitted will be decided as to their being appropriate solely by the editors. No kids pictures no matter how cute or adorable you think they are will be included so don’t send them. Politics will be allowed and all ideas will be represented but no name calling false statements and if it can’t be proven true don’t send it. All venues will be considered, Conservative, Liberal, Tea Party or anything else in the political arena. Considered is the keyword. We would prefer you to send anecdotes, short stories, hints, gripes, reviews, fun trips or just anything that you would like to write. When writing to the editors we ask you to state your age and we promise not to publish it unless it is in your article. Your E-mail address will not be published at all or sold. No personal ads will be accepted for publication. This is to be a fun, entertaining and enlightening site and at this time it will published on a no schedule basis. If we have to come up with all the content it will be as we gather enough to fill the pages. If you all co-operate it will be published more often. We hope you enjoy the content and hope to make you smile more often then frown.

Rants
Rudeness abounds in society and suprisedly resides more often in younger women then men.
Smokers who throw their butts out the window. Someone should throw their butts out the window.
Cell phone talkers who hang up one call and then start another while in line to check out or talk in a stadium voice not their inside voice.
Political or information surveys should be banned between the hours of 12 midnight and 11:59 PM
Food Prices are out of sight. I remember when we bought a weeks groceries for about twenty bucks, now its sixty.
All politicians should not be able to run for any office after two terms, not only local, but state and federal. No lobbying until out of office ten years.
Politicians should have the same medicare as the rest of the population not the medical plan they have with all the special perks. They also should have no special retirement funding, Social Security should be their retirement . A 401k with matching funds up to six percent of their salary should be sufficient like the rest of us. No special treatment.
Traffic is a mess. Lets close the main streets and have a race, walk or dig them up. We can do this on the week-end so you can’t get to church, visit anything in the downtown area.
The most stupid thing are bike lanes that they don’t ride in, run red lights, cut in between cars. They only cost one million dollars. They pay no license and usually don’t have insurance. More later! Raves

Nothing to Rave about
Food
Dukes Smokehouse in Georgetown Texas only gets one star * the ribs were under cooked, the pork loin was dry and the BBQ sauce was not special. Great wait staff.
